Jazz Education is becoming an increasingly important and meaningful part of my life. I enjoy helping and encouraging musicians of all ages as they develop their individual and ensemble skills...sharing my experiences with them, and passing along the jazz wisdom that has been so generously given to me during my professional career. Ultimately, it's all about inspiring and motivating students to become the best musicians and people they can be.

My CV includes:

Adjunct Professor at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Responsible for teaching individual Jazz Piano lessons, a lecture/lab course in Improvisation, and a lecture course in Jazz History.
Over 25 years experience as a full-time professional jazz musician based in New York City.
MA in Jazz Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in NYC. BS in Musical Studies from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, in Potsdam, NY.

I'm currently available for:

Clinics and workshops at colleges and high schools.
Performance as a guest artist with college and high school jazz ensembles.
Online teaching via Skype for private lessons in jazz piano, and for lessons in improvisation for all instruments. Please contact me for scheduling.

Price list for one-hour lessons: $80 or $225/three.
Student rates: $70 or $195/three.

Your first lesson includes a complimentary extra 15 minutes for evaluation and getting acquainted.
All prices include sheet music or other teaching materials in .pdf format.
I'll email these materials to you as needed, after the lesson is over.
Payments made via PayPal and lesson arranged at a mutually agreed upon time.
